Is NYU worth it?

I was accepted to NYU with a scholarship: but not one big enough to cover tuition. In order to pay, I'd have to take out $15,000 or so in loans and work part-time. I want to go to NYU very much and all my friends have been urging me to, but I'm scared of driving myself into debt that I won't be able to manage later on. I'm from the midwest: my other option is to attend an in-state school that I'm not at all enthusiastic about - but it's cheap.

Follow my dream or save money?

Is NYU worth it?

Follow your dream because its your dream and you know you want it. That's all I can say.

What's a decent amount to pay for an engagement ring being a college student?

Ok, you're still in college or may have just graduated from college, and you get engaged. I was wondering from a girl's perspective what they think would be a modest price for a ring. Obviously, since you're both in college or just finished, you don't have a real job yet and will soon have student loans, rent, and other bills to pay now. I know that typically it should cost a guy 3 months of his paycheck, but like i said earlier you don't have a job yet. I mean she can't expect to get one that is like 3,000-4,000 but at the same time I know a cheap one isn't good. What's your opinion?

What's a decent amount to pay for an engagement ring being a college student?

The price shouldn't matter to a girl... in fact she shouldn't even know how much you spend on it!! Personally I would be happy with anything as the ring isn't the important part, I would just be excited to spend the rest of my life with the person I love!!!

I am stressed and need your help regarding an auto loan?

Ok. I have been divorced now for 2 years and am really happy with someone else. The problem is that my ex-wife really did a number to my credit. She took out cards in my name, charged excessively, etc, etc. Long story short, I had to pay a huge some as part of the divorce agreement to close all accounts. I am now taking a new job and have to give up my company car. The nice thing is that it is a great salary and car allowance. When this should be an exciting time for me, I am really stressed about having to get a car with this credit rating. I tried last night at capitalone.com and was instantly denied which isn't a good sign. My score is in the low 600's now. I realize a dealer will get a loan for me, but I'll be probably 18-22%. Is it possible to refinance after a year to get out of that? I have to get a car this week and really need some advice on how to proceed based on my position. I don't have the $ to pay for a cheap car upfront either. Looking for used car.

Tx!

I am stressed and need your help regarding an auto loan?

You can probably refinance but, I think that you're still going to have to pay a high interest rate, until that score comes back up and you can bank finance.

I am stressed and need your help regarding an auto loan?

If your credit score is over 800, you're in the top 10% of the populace.

If your score is about 710, you're right in the middle. (Half of the US population is better, and half is worse.)

If your score is below about 575, you are in the bottom 10%

There isn't much chance anyone will be willing to offer credit to you with the exception of the %26quot;buy here pay here%26quot; type lots, that really should be avoided.

Perhaps a co-signer? A relative perhaps that would be willing to help, or maybe even someone with a second car they would be willing to give you, or allow you to make payments?

If you have a checking account at a local bank, you might try talking to them about fixing your credit.

Sorry I don't have good news for you, but with that rating...well...

I need to get rid of two vehicles that are both under a loan -what's the best way?

I am very unexpectedly getting a divorce and in order to afford to keep my house, I need to get rid of the two vehicles that are titled in my name (yes, his vehicle is in my name too because his credit is bad and they wouldn't loan to him). He went out and bought another vehicle, so it is pretty obvious he is going to stick me with the other one. Both are in loans and I was wondering if it would be better to try to sell them outright or if I should try and trade them both in, plus the cash to get them paid off in order to get something cheaper. Anyone who works in the car industry have some insight?

I need to get rid of two vehicles that are both under a loan -what's the best way?

take the buyer with you to the loan office and pay off the loan :)

I need to get rid of two vehicles that are both under a loan -what's the best way?

You won't get as much for them at trade, but you will get what you get immediately. It is a trade off.

I need to get rid of two vehicles that are both under a loan -what's the best way?

try ther autotrader.com for your area!

I need to get rid of two vehicles that are both under a loan -what's the best way?

you would need to know their wholesale values compared to their payoffs to determine the answer to that question. If you owe substantially more than theyre worth youll be in deep trouble. Lets hope you could find a buyer...the time and effort on selling 2 cars would be frustrating. At a dealership they would be willing to take on 2 trades depending on their saleability and make the transition easy if you arent %26quot;buried%26quot; in the debt of them. Good luck.

I need to get rid of two vehicles that are both under a loan -what's the best way?

I agree w/ johnnysun- get them a reputable local dealer, explain the situation, and trade 2 for 1. Do your homework 1st though, check KBB and Edmunds for pricing, (be sure to use 'trade-in value). Be firm but polite re: the $$ they will give you, there are dealers everywhere, and the next one may give you a better deal. Also clean the cars up, inside and out, it DOES make a percieved difference to the wholesale buyer. You won`t get near what they`re worth private party, but you`ll be done with them and have one less headache. Or ask friends family etc. if they`re interested and give them a good deal, you just need to get out from under 2 car payments, insurance, etc.

Would you keep paying for your husbands friends laundry?

Here's the deal:

My husbands college bud (not one of his best friend but someone he gets together w/here %26amp; there) lives in our apt complex. In order to do laundry you have to purchase a card for $20 and go to the office to put money on it when you want to use it. His bud asked if he could borrow our card (so he didn't have to pay $20 for one). I said no prob as long as you bring it back at least a day or 2 after you use it so we can do ours. He's been using the money we have on there and returning it empty. If we have a 0 balance he'll put enough for himself to use but if we have a balance he'll use it and return empty. I've found out (by going to eat w/him and my husband) that he is VERY cheap/ penny pincher) and he is by no means hurting for money. He's in his early 20's good job and his parents are rich. My husband works 2 jobs to pay off his student loans so there's no reason we should be paying rich boys laundry expenses. Since he's my husbands friend, I need to tell him in a

Would you keep paying for your husbands friends laundry?

That is greediness, tell him exactly that he needs to pay for his laundry. Do not give a lot of reservations to this guy who don't even consider your financial capabilities.

Let him be responsible for his own needs, once is enough but another is too much.

Would you keep paying for your husbands friends laundry?

Just tell him %26quot;no more%26quot; free laundry...he is a user and will continue to use people to his own gain, and doesn't care who he hurts or takes advantage of.

Perhaps a solution would be to get yourself another card, and use it for you and your hubby, then keep issuing the free loader the card he won't put anymore money on.

Am I crazy to want another baby?

I am 29ish. I have a 51/2 year old. My husband is in school, due to grad. in december. We are on a limited income. Actually, we make about 40K a year, but debt (student loans and stupid tax out the yin yang) have rendered us pretty tight. I have a great job, I pick my hours, etc, but great as all that is, we haven't bought a house, still (rent is really cheap), and of course no health insurance (my daughter has it, but I am an independent contractor and he's a student, so...) anyway, I want with every part of my heart and soul and being to have another baby. I have wanted one for three years. I have waited, husband's almost out of school.. am I crazy to try to conceive a baby over the summmer and fall? Should I wait? Will it make a difference? I really, really want another baby....

Am I crazy to want another baby?

I am in the exact situation you are in- however I am about 1 year behind you. I am 28, have a 4 1/2 yr old, and my husband will finish graduate school in about 1 1/2 years and I want other baby soooooo bad.

My husband wants to wait until he has about 6 months to go, but my heart is aching for another baby. My dtr is also ready, she talks about having a brother or sister all the time. Mommy I will put her to sleep, I will share my toys (and you know how hard it is to share at this age)

I believe the two of you will make the right decision and it will be worth the wait -- that is what I keep telling myself. Take care!!

Am I crazy to want another baby?

Sounds like your biological clock is telling you to get it soon.

Am I crazy to want another baby?

No one can tell you what you heart really wants. I understand the intense desire for a new baby. If you want a little advice, wait until your husband is out of school and has some job prospects. That gives you plenty of time to get things in order and prepare.

And besides, you've got to have something to do to keep you warm in the winter! (Not sure where you're from, I'm in Minnesota).

Am I crazy to want another baby?

If we all waited until we could afford kids and our lives were set up just perfect for them there would be no such thing as pregnant women and babies. I say go for it, of course your husband should have some say in these kinds of things so get his opinion and start taking folic acid GOOD LUCK

Am I crazy to want another baby?

i think if you want one get to it

Am I crazy to want another baby?

Firstly you have to make this decision jointly with your husband - its not something one person can decide on their own.

I think have the baby - you will probably regret it later when you are older if you don't. What's there to regret about money? It's never enough!!! And somehow we manage when there's a lack of it!

Am I crazy to want another baby?

Although things are kinda unstable right now, it is doable. If you conceive soon you have 9 months to get things together, mainly insurance. The problem is if you keep waiting conception will be more difficult and the risks of pregnancy increase. Think long and hard. I am sure you will make the right decision.

Am I crazy to want another baby?

Have you talk to your husband about this? I mean....Its really nice to feel that way, Cause I had it, and still would love to have another. But Know where we are now, I don't think I could. My girls are about to be 13 and 8. Looking at the past and where we have been, there were things that we couldn't do. Now that they are old enough, we can do so many things that we just waited and watched and love it more!

Concidering another child, you have to look at everything! Finances and personal. Make a list of all of your finanicals...don't forget anything, this means all of the little extras. Make sure you subtract everything from your weekly or monthly take home. This will help you in deciding if you have enough coushin monthly. If so, you may want to put this away and let it build.

But, no matter what someone says...including I....your heart has to be in the right place for another little one in the home. Best wishes!!! And Good Luck!

Am I crazy to want another baby?

If you wait until all the ducks are in a row, it might be too late. You can never be completely financially secure enough for a child.

If you can feed everyone and make sure they have clothes and a roof over their head, and you can pay the doc's bill (because that's REALLY the biggest expense) then what's stopping you? If you're that concerned about finances, check to see what's available in your area for people with your income range. You might be able to get some kind of help on the medical expenses.

I need advise. My mom got married last year and now I'm not eligible for a pell grant anymore.

Ok, for the past *counts* 4 semesters, I've been getting 1250 from the federal government to pay for my school. That pays tuition and books and leaves me a hundred or two left over. (If I can find my books for cheap, that is.) Well she got married last october so now our 'income' is doubled because of my stepdad's income. According to my SAR, I have 6511 EFC (how much my family is supposed to be able to contribute) Which is FALSE. That 60,000 or so a year doesn't go so far with the bills each month. My stepfather also has 2 children, though I'm the only one that lives here (I included the youngest in the household number because he does stay here every other weekend.) And the oldest is in college himself. I don't know how he pays for college though.

I'm about to cry in frustration. I need some advice. Similar stories? Loans are not an option, and I could get a job but I'd have to put a semester off just to get up the funds to pay for one semester.

I need advise. My mom got married last year and now I'm not eligible for a pell grant anymore. Help?

For clarification, when your mom got married, you did correctly include your mom's new husband's information. Additionally, even if you are emancipated that does not mean you are independent and there are very strict guidelines we must follow as administrators in granting appeals for independence...this situation is not appeal-able. Sorry. Now to your dilemma

Go online and correct your FAFSA. You can count his son in college, bringing the total to %26quot;2%26quot; in college and add him to the household size. You may also put whatever your step dad pays in child support on Worksheet C. These two corrections MAY help to lower the EFC and make you more eligible for aid. If you are selected for verification (which you likely will be as any corrections to the FAFSA that make you more eligible for aid will get you selected) complete the Verification Worksheet and be sure to include your step-brothers in the household information and the college the step-brother attends. You may also include a note regarding how much the step dad pays in child support.

Good luck.

I need advise. My mom got married last year and now I'm not eligible for a pell grant anymore. Help?

Unfortunately I had the same problem. Until I turned 25 because I was single and had no children, I was forced to use my parent's income on the FAFSA as well, even though I did not even LIVE with them! I couldn't qualify for any grants with three incomes (Two of which had nothing to do with me and my well-being).

There is no way around this. Stupid I know... Best thing I can advise is to get job (or two) to pay for schooling yourself without having to get loans. Or you can do what I did... I waited until I turned 25 before going back to school.

Sorry. :/ Good luck.

I need advise. My mom got married last year and now I'm not eligible for a pell grant anymore. Help?

do you live with your parents still? If not, then you can speak to the financial aid person at your college, if so, then I think you are just stuck. My mother remarried about part way through highschool to a wonderful guy who also happens to be a nurse for the past 30 odd years and also in the AF as an officer for about the same amount of time. Until I turn 23 I still have to clame his income even though I live in another state 1,000 miles away.

I need advise. My mom got married last year and now I'm not eligible for a pell grant anymore. Help?

I would see what my best options are and maybe see another source of loan or grant.

I need advise. My mom got married last year and now I'm not eligible for a pell grant anymore. Help?

Talk to your financail aid officer about declaring yourself an emancipated adult.

Don't join the service, You'll be wanting your legs later in life

I need advise. My mom got married last year and now I'm not eligible for a pell grant anymore. Help?

Sorry to say this but there is no easy way out of your situation.

Adding your step-dad's older son to the household is probably not fraud BUT it won't make any difference in your financial aid, you most likely won't qualify for the Pell Grant.

One of your options is federal loans but you've already ruled that out. You also mentioned that your Pell Grant was $1250 per semester, which tells me that you are probably attending a community college or another institution that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I'm sure if you try very hard you can find a part time job that can pay you $1250 over the course of the semester. This seems to be your easiest option but it may not work all by itself. If you have a few months left before you need to pay then this is fine. But if you've got to pay tuition SOON then there is an alternative. It involves a loan but just hear me out. There is a loan called the %26quot;Stafford Subsidized Loan%26quot; which you can qualify for using FAFSA. The way this loan works is that they charge you a 3% loan fee (if you borrow $1250.00 then they deduct the fee upfront and give you $1212.50, not too bad) and there is NO INTEREST WHATSOEVER until 6 months after you graduate, but you have to be enrolled full-time. So you can take out this loan to pay your tuition at the beginning of the semester, work part-time and save money during the semester, then at the end of the semester you can pay the loan without incurring a single penny of interest.

Your last option is to get married. I know it sound outrageous but thats exactly what my wife and I did. We were still living at our own parents' house respectively while attending college, and when we applied for financial aid, we got to use our own incomes (which were minimal at best) and that qualified us for the Pell Grant among a few other things.

I need advise. My mom got married last year and now I'm not eligible for a pell grant anymore. Help?

I would go into your school's financial aid office as soon as possible.

%26quot;Explain%26quot; the situation. Tell them how you and your step dad %26quot;don't get along%26quot; and he refuses to give one red cent to a %26quot;spoiled brat%26quot; like you, and you have to find your own way to pay for school. Ask them how you can make a special appeal to reflect your real financial situation.

It doesn't hurt to look sad, scared, worked up, and if can manage tears, go for it. Make statements like %26quot;I'm so affraid I'm going to have to drop out and work at the Gap full-time%26quot; or %26quot;I'm so affraid I can't finish my degree now%26quot;.

Try that. hit me up on email if that doesn't work.

It sucks that loans are not an option for you, but remember this, if it comes down to it, student loans will be much cheaper than paying by credit card or personal loan.

I need advise. My mom got married last year and now I'm not eligible for a pell grant anymore. Help?

That's a shame, can't help ya Kid....

I need help!!! I want to propose to my gf, what kind of ring?? I am totally oblivious to diamonds, a

I am new to this, and I have already posted something up. I don't make a whole lot of money, I mean I live like pay check to pay check. I have bills left right and crooked car payments, insurance, rent, phone...and college loans to pay back....ugh. What kind of ring should I get. I want something I can afford. I was thinking like 1/2 carat. I have heard people say that %26quot;the size of the diamond is the size of his heart%26quot;, well I wish I could get a huge diamond then, but on the contrary, I have a small wallet. I don't want to get something cheap, wear the novelty wears off after a few years. She has no idea that I want to propose to her, and when I do it's going to be magical, but I'm thinking like at a restaurant or something along those lines. What kind of ring do women like most?? Do yo like a ring that is so big that when you enter a room people see the diamond walk in first then the woman, like to announce their presence. I am an acquiring mind, please let me know, thanks.

I need help!!! I want to propose to my gf, what kind of ring?? I am totally oblivious to diamonds, and price?

Who said that the size of the ring is the size of the guys heart? I'm guessing you heard that from a gold digger! You get what your comfortable getting. Any woman that expects you to go broke to get her a ring, is a woman that you should avoid! Just a little story, when I married my first wife, we were so broke at that point in our lives, that we went to Walmart and bought a natching pair of rings for less than $100 for the wedding. Those rings were not worth anything to anyone else, but were like gold to us. I'm sure she'll be happy with any ring you pick out, because it comes from %26quot;you%26quot; Good luck to you!

I need help!!! I want to propose to my gf, what kind of ring?? I am totally oblivious to diamonds, and price?

All of the questions you ask super depend on the girl. Hopefully she isn't so shallow as to say what my sister did and tell you %26quot;anything less than 2 carats and its a no%26quot; but I'm sure she'd like to have something pretty as well. If you think she'd be okay with something modest but elegant than go that way, if you think she'd want something bigger buy a imitation diamond and tell her you'll replace it with a real one in a few years. (it could be a secret between you two)

Another thing: She'll remember how you asked her and tell that story every time she looks at any ring, so make that as special as possible. If she's got a great story to tell she may not need an extravagant ring.

I need help!!! I want to propose to my gf, what kind of ring?? I am totally oblivious to diamonds, and price?

I suggest going to a Kay Jewelers, or a small jewelers, haggle the price. I know Kay jewelers are pretty inexpensive, and I know the Robbins Brothers is REALLY expensive but they have a perfect proposal team there!

I need help!!! I want to propose to my gf, what kind of ring?? I am totally oblivious to diamonds, and price?

First if you know ur woman, you will know what it is she likes in jewelry. Then go to a diamond store pick out for urslef and then get the advice from a professional if what u picked is just right! They are usually really very helpful. Good luck and congrats!

I need help!!! I want to propose to my gf, what kind of ring?? I am totally oblivious to diamonds, and price?

In my opinion, the size doesnt matter as long as it comes from your heart and you can afford. But the desigh does matter a lot..and giving the ring to your gf in the most romantic settings will be an unforgettable for her...:) I like a cute ring not so big and not so small either...I think thats a woman like most...depends on her taste..Im sure you know her taste right? (wink)

I need help!!! I want to propose to my gf, what kind of ring?? I am totally oblivious to diamonds, and price?

Just look around in jewellery stores and see what you can get for your budget. Keep in mind the 4 Cs - carat, cut, colour and clarity.

The more carats, the better the colour and the better the clarity will cost more. I think the thing to focus on is Colour. A good colour diamond is one that is very white. The scale for diamond colours start at the best at D. These are the most expensive white diamonds. A good price one should be around a F - I colour. A small diamond with a great white colour is better than a big diamond that is not a white colour.

Clarity is also important so talk to jewellers.

If you can afford it, many jewellery stores offer a payment option like a take-home layby and give you like a year to pay it off and you just make a small payment each month.

Also, think about whether she would like yellow gold or white gold and what shape (or Cut) diamond she would like; round or square are most popular.

Whatever you choose she will love because it is a symbol of love and promise of marriage from you.

I need help!!! I want to propose to my gf, what kind of ring?? I am totally oblivious to diamonds, and price?

I personally like combination of rubies %26amp; diamonds. Also, prefer something that isn't REALLY sticking up. Some rings stick up so high that it gets hooked on counter ledges, etc... Therefore, not too tall. It would be nice if you had her ring size.

I go to a well-known, long time in business pawn shop. I then have all the prongs on the stones checked thoroughly for trouble spots. They also allow payments but the ring/rings will be about 1/3rd the cost of new. Some people feel offended by receiving a ring from a pawn shop and others believe it is bad luck. If you do this, don't tell her where you got it. Get prongs checked, appraised %26amp; documented.

Going to a restaurant would be nice. Just don't try to be clever %26amp; stick in a potatoe for her to find. I liked what a friend did, he had the restaurant's manager bring out a dessert with the ring on top (not a messy one with frosting, etc...). Or give her a gift wrapped box with the ring inside.

I need help!!! I want to propose to my gf, what kind of ring?? I am totally oblivious to diamonds, and price?

Truthfully, you don't need a ring to get engaged, but you also shouldn't get married until you are financially secure. You seem to have a lot of debt. Truthfully, 1/2 carat may not be enough for her. 3/4 carat or more is best, if you get a diamond. Ask her to marry you and then show her finances and go shopping together for the ring. If you have to buy a small ring, tell her you'll get her a bigger one on your 10th wedding anniversary. That's what my husband I did.

I need help!!! I want to propose to my gf, what kind of ring?? I am totally oblivious to diamonds, and price?

You can do what my fiance did: He proposed with a stand-in costume jewelry ring, and then we picked out the actual ring together. I liked doing it this way better, b/c the ring is very suited to my taste.

Re. your financial situation: Whatever you do, do NOT finance your engagement ring. You need to pay off your debt, not acquire more. And the people in the store WILL try to talk to into it. You might want to try a moissanite ring if she'll go for it: My 2 carat moissanite ring is a dead ringer for diamond, and cost $1500 including tax. A 2 carat diamond of the same quality would have cost around $15,000. My ring: http://www.helzberg.com/hdsim/jsp/catalo...

Whatever you get her, don't try to be Richard Burton giving Elizabeth Taylor a huge rock. When you go for a diamond, a half carat or a bit less is perfectly fine.

Best of luck to you!

I need help!!! I want to propose to my gf, what kind of ring?? I am totally oblivious to diamonds, and price?

Go to www.bluenile.com - you can learn about diamonds there - color, cut, clarity, etc. They are usually classified with a color and a clarity. For example an Fvs1 is an almost colorless diamond and it is very slightly included. A good jeweler can play with the cut to make it look better. My diamond has a larger flaw than most would want but since it was on the side he was able to put a facet over the flaw and hide it. Go for color and clarity over size. If you stay just under a carat it will be cheaper than if you go over. For example a 0.95 carat diamond will be considerably cheaper than a 1.05 carat diamond but to the eye you probably won't notice the difference. Sit down with a good jeweler and see what they can do for you. If you live near NYC there are tons of jewelers in the diamond district that can be cheaper than a retail store. Good luck.

I need help!!! I want to propose to my gf, what kind of ring?? I am totally oblivious to diamonds, and price?

WELL I THINK YOU TWO SHOULD TALK IT OUT AND IF SHE WANTS A RING THAT YOU CANT AFFORD THAN SAYLOOK BABY I CAN'T AFOORD IT RIGHT NOW I'M SURE SHE WILL UNDERSTAND

I need help!!! I want to propose to my gf, what kind of ring?? I am totally oblivious to diamonds, and price?

my advice is too propse without a ring :)

than take her into the jewlerlly store and let her pick what she wants (as long as its within price reason)

cause my bf would have picked something i wouldn't have liked as much (although i would have been happy with whatever he had picked)..

but.. yeah if you want to pick it out.. take a look around her jewerly box.. does she where more silver than gold? cause that would show what her perference is..

you can even go for different stones than just diamonds..

my engagement ring is a tanzanite stone its very pretty (blueish purple)

Aparment Hunting!?

Before I get my school loans and grants for college I want to know about how much an apartment is going to cost me and my friend. so tomorrow Im gonna go check out some around my area. I dont plan on moving in them until late summer, any tips I could use while looking????? Since Im so young will that be a problem? I will be 18 next month so that should be okay???

By the way I know I am young but I already have a good job and yes I can handle the apartment, real answers only please! Plus I live in a small town where apartments are very cheap.

Aparment Hunting!?

You can check on www.Craigslist.org for listings of apartments. Also, you need to have (good) credit to be able to rent an apartment. You'll also need to save up for a deposit, just in case you break something. You should also check all the cabinets %26amp; small places to be sure there are no little holes where bugs can come through. Make sure everything works too.

You might want to run the shower water too. I live in an apartment and sometimes (almost every time) it will go from a regular temperature, to really hot water. Other then that, just be sure you read and understand the contract fully before signing.

Aparment Hunting!?

always make sure that your getting some thing reasonalbe price and a quality place have some fun and dont over do it also work out what u and your friend want in a house

Aparment Hunting!?

Check out apartmentguide.com, or apartments.com

Aparment Hunting!?

There is not a lot of use in looking now. What is available now will probably not be available at the end of the summer. You might, however want to check about the middle of July and get the apartment for the first of August before other students start moving in and getting the more desirable apartments. They will probably want a first and last months rent, a lease for 6 or 12 months and possibly a deposit.

Aparment Hunting!?

Age discrimination is against the law. Because you are young things like length of employment history, credit, and rental history may be a problem. Think of a co-applicant you can use such as your parents. If the landlord has someone else on the lease they may feel better about renting the apartment to you. Keep looking, you may find someone that wants to rent fairly quickly or for a little higher rent. Be friendly, likeable, and mature when looking. I have heard of landlords renting just because they like you.

Need a car but have the most terrible credit situation imagionable?

I have had some serious problems with my credit that i am in the process of trying to fix. I was in a serious accident and lost my only transportation. I am looking to finance a really cheap little car to get myself back and forth to work. or any car i can get I just dont have money to put down.

Does anyone know anyone that finances or does auto loans for people with terrible credit situations?

im in need to find one i live in the phoenix az area.

Need a car but have the most terrible credit situation imagionable?

I dont know if you have it there but try United Finance Company.

Need a car but have the most terrible credit situation imagionable?

If you have the money buy it on cash or borrow money from your loved once.

I bought used car for long time and never owed any money on the cars. You can buy a reliable car for few thousand but maintain it and you will stay away from big expenses.

I have seen dealers how they buy a $500 car and sell it for 3000 on a note and when people cannot pay it they will repossess it. Don't get in the con game of dealers they are heartless people.

Need a car but have the most terrible credit situation imagionable?

I don't know if you have one there, but try carmax.

Need a car but have the most terrible credit situation imagionable?

unfortunately you will need a certain amount of money down depending on the bank or financier who will be willing to take a chance with you......the areas they focus on are;time on job, income that you can prove in the form of paystubs or something of that nature, proof of residence in the form of either, utility bill, phone bill,etc.,etc.,with your address on it and ofcourse...........cash down......for starters......you can also try a cosigner..........good luck bud...........

Need a car but have the most terrible credit situation imagionable?

You need either money or credit. If you've got neither, you've got no car. That's how it works.

Need a car but have the most terrible credit situation imagionable?

Poor credit car loans have been specifically designed for those people who have trouble getting credit due to their credit score being too low, if your credit score is too low then you will be seen as a huge risk and as such the lender will not take a chance on you and so turn you down. You can bring your credit rating back up by doing certain%26lt;!--things but it does take a long time and if you want your car now then applying for a poor credit car loan could be your only or best option.Just as with any other type of loan if you go to a specialist then you will get the best deal. You may get the car loan you want from here,

http://best-loans.awardspace.com/guarant...

When applying for a poor credit car loan you have to realise that you are never going to get the very lowest of interest rates that others have the luxury of securing but if you go with a specialist they will be able to get you the lowest among loans associated with a poor credit rating. Along with getting you the cheapest possible poor credit car loan the specialist--%26gt;website will also be able to offer you the best advice. However unless you know something about car loans and in particular what to look for when it comes to getting a poor credit car loan then you could end up paying way over the odds for the privilege of getting the loan.

Need a car but have the most terrible credit situation imagionable?

go to

www.leasetrader.com

people trying to lease their leases don't really care about credit.

but idk how you can buy a car with bad credit. You'll just have to save and pay up front i guess.

The thing about wanting something for nothing is...everyone wants something for nothing. Makes for slim pickins.....

Ideas for a 3 week itinerary for Australia in March/April ish?

I know this is a vague question but I really don't know where to begin planning this one! There are 2 of us, and we have 3 weeks. We hope to have in the region of 鎷?000, this is to include our flights. We want to stay in b%26amp;bs or hotels, cheap but not hostels. We want to take in Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef, Uluru, and possibly the Great Ocean Road. We'd like to do some adventurous stuff too, like skydiving and rafting, quad biking etc. Basically the absolute most we can with the time and money we have. We don't want to waste a minute as this is taking all our savings (its going to be March 09, not 08, so we can save!) and 2 loans and is a once in a lifetime trip! Any help/advice/ideas at all would be appreciated. Things like internal flights etc all seem a bit baffling, and although I've read the travel guides I'm more confused than before I knew a thing!!!

Ideas for a 3 week itinerary for Australia in March/April ish?

the great barrier reef is a good start it has the largest population of great white sharks in the world some people go in shark cages in the water but for the real adventurous do it without a cage and if you want the full experience don't forget to wear your lucky ham hock just kidding I would like to go myself sometime, say why don't you dump your husband and take me instead lol I'm sure you'll have a great time what ever you do have fun :)

Ideas for a 3 week itinerary for Australia in March/April ish?

Lucky you!!! I have been to Oz twice now and absolutely loved it. I would recommend you look at a company called Mercury Direct. They offer very reasonable prices for holidays and often give a 3rd week free. We travelled for two weeks, stayed in the Phoenician in Broadbeach (Surfers Paradise) and had a 2 night stay in Singapore for around 鎷?500 each.

Firstly I would choose your flights wisely. JAL (Japanese) will probably be the cheapest but their planes are cramped and you will have a 6 hour stopover in Osaka Airport and there is absolutely nothing there. Quantas were fantastic and had a 2 hour stopover in Singapore which was fantastic.

I would recommend you go straight to Oz and have a couple of days stopover on your way home. It breaks up the flight and you have something to look forward to after you leave Oz and not a horrifically long flight.

Sydney was great but I wouldn't spend a long time there, it's like a smaller, cleaner London with a great vibe, but four days there is too long if you only have 3 weeks. We never visited Uluru and that is a big regret, and if you do, try and arrange a hot air balloon over it at dawn. There are some great eco lodges around that area.

The Great Barrier Reef is absolutely amazing, we visited Lady Elliot Island and I snorkelled with a giant turtle - one massive highlight of my life. There sealife there is amazing.

I loved the Gold Coast, but staying in Surfers was a little too 'busy'. We stayed in Broadbeach which was quieter and more upmarket. We also took a trip into the mountains which were absolutely stunning. The beaches along the Gold Coast are amazing, they have great surf and miles and miles and miles of golden sand and the beaches are relatively empty. That time of the year is perfect weather too.

You also must visit Australia Zoo, it's an eye opener and just the work that they carry out there is brilliant.

Driving out there is fine, the roads are great and not filled with traffic but they do not like speeders and the police are pretty hot on that.

Oz is a lot cheaper than the UK and your money will go a long way.

I would also recommend Frazer Island, you can go 4 wheel jeep driving and do loads of sporty stuff. I have loads of photo's of our last visit, if you want me to send you the link to see them please email me.

:-)

I went to Australia for 3 weeks in February and i arrived in Melbourne for 4 days, flew to Uluru, drove to Kings Canyon then drove to Alice Springs. From there flew to Cairns for a week (skydiving, barrier reef etc), flew to Brisbane for a couple of days, then to Sydney for the remainder. Enjoyed every bit of it.

Ideas for a 3 week itinerary for Australia in March/April ish?

Australia is a big country. You really can't see everything in 3 weeks.

I would suggest you book yourself on a bus tour if you want to go up to Central Australia. Anywhere else you can drive around yourself, providing you have an international licence of course! If I were you, I'd do a bus trip from Melbourne or Adelaide to Central Australia, it's unlike anything you have at home. No B%26amp;B's out there, but the tents are fine :) You're there for the scenery not the sleeping arrangements. Or hire a car and road trip down the east coast. I'd skip on the adventurous stuff since you can do that at home too. Going overland to anywhere is not going to give you a jam packed tourist place holiday, but you will see far more than if you fly around. To give you an idea, Brisbane to Melbourne in the car is about 3 days, if you don't stop more then necessary. I don't know about Central Australian tour companies, but if you plan things carefully, you might be able to drive down from Brisbane (go see the Barrier Reef first,) down to Melbourne (a much nicer city than Sydney), along Great Ocean Road and to Adelaide, then take a tour up to Alice Springs and fly back to one of the major cities for a flight home. If you can wrangle that, that's what you should do. Hiring a campervan is a possibility, that would be cheaper than staying in motels. To enjoy a trip like the one I'm suggesting, you have to ban from your mind that staring out of the car window is %26quot;doing/seeing nothing.%26quot; Road tripping is a popular Australian style holiday :) Retirees hire campervans and go around the country, young people who can't afford to do that just get in their car and go as far as their money and time off work allow. In fact, my brother and I plonked my daughter in her car seat last Sunday and went road tripping for the day!

If you'd like any more info, email and I'll do my best to help. I've travelled around a bit, not up to Queensland though, so I can't help with the Barrier Reef or the Islands. I'm from Victoria.

Ideas for a 3 week itinerary for Australia in March/April ish?

I would start in Sydney, Australia's biggest and oldest city. It is stunningly beautiful. There is plenty to do and if you want to go to a zoo, Taronga Park is one of the two top zoos in the country. The other is Melbourne zoo. (The Australia Zoo is an expensive tourist trap). There is a web site, What's on in Sydney at

http://www.whatsoninsydney.com.au

that would be worth looking through to see just how much is on offer.

Take the day train to Melbourne via Canberra. Spend a day or two in the national capital. It is close to the Snowy Mountains and there is a great deal in the way of adventure holidays up there even out of the snow season -which you will be. Melbourne is a lovely city, very different from Sydney. Don't miss the penguin parade at Philip Island.

From Melbourne fly to Alice Springs and spend a few days exploring the magnificent scenery around Alice and go to Uluru. There are regular tours to all the favourite spots at a variety of prices.

Fly up to Darwin. It is the start of the dry season and there is much to see. Hire a car and explore or take a guided tour.

Fly to Cairns for the Barrier Reef, Daintree rainforest and Atherton Tablelands.

Fit in other delights if you can. Northeast NSW has marvellous unspoilt beaches and magnificent national parks. It is like the Gold Coast before the developers moved in. Western Australia has magical areas in the southwest and the northwest. South Australia is worth a few days as is Tasmania. There is so much to do and see.

You will find activities such as skydiving, hang gliding, hot air ballooning, snorkelling, scuba diving, rock climbing, etc etc everywhere. Just ask in any tourist information office. In season there is whale watching - humpback whales off the NSW, Qld and WA coasts; southern right whales in the Great Australian Bight; sperm whales around Tasmania and blue whales off the south coast of South Australia.

I would recommend you read Bill Bryson's book %26quot;Down Under%26quot;. Bryson is an American writer who is very fond of Australia and you will get many ideas from his account.

Ideas for a 3 week itinerary for Australia in March/April ish?

Go to jetstar Qantas and virgin blue web sites. there's many flights a day to all parts of australia you usually pay more with qantas. also wotif.com is a great site for bargain accomadation. they have some super last minute deals.once you get to uluru [ayers rock] you can do a helicopter ride same over the Barrier Reef but many boats go out to the reef for snorkling diving or just viewing from a glass bottom boat. The whitsundays is beautiful you would fly to Proserpine then have a choice of many island boat trips or fly to Hamilton Island, Daydream island just to mention 2 of them. Take a look at whitsundays on the computer.

Ideas for a 3 week itinerary for Australia in March/April ish?

Why not do

Melbourne 4 nights and drive to Sydney using great ocean Road. Get an Australian to give you a good route!

Sydney 4 nights (do the bridge climb, visit blue mountains, bondi beach and Manley beach, use the ferries, do a harbour lunch cruise.

Uluru 3 nights (do the sounds of silence dinner which is amazing dining under the stars!, also do the uluru base walk and breakfast in which you see the sun rise, then on your last day do the valley of the winds walk aroubnd the Olgas with sunset BBQ...stunning!

Alice Springs- Kings Canyon trip (2 - 3 nights)

Cairns- do 4 nights and stay in Port Douglas as most trips leave from there. Be sure to do an outer reef day cruise in which you can snorkle and go in the glass bottomed boat.

Then you could consider a 2-3 night stop in either Brisbane or maybe hamilton island?

Hope you have a fantastic trip.

Myself and my family saved hard and went in 2005 and loved it. Australia is a fabulous contry with great people.

I know that there are many reasons people don't go to college but if the only reason is money a

have kids is this just a lie or them being lazy community college are cheap and most of the tution if not all of it is coverd by financial aid or the pell grant and if after two yrs they move on to a 4yr school they can get loans if they rally want to go to college what do u think

I know that there are many reasons people don't go to college but if the only reason is money and they do not

if they really wanted to go to college then there is enough money in the world to go round...there are many ways to get money from jobs and loans and investments etc.

I know that there are many reasons people don't go to college but if the only reason is money and they do not

Sometimes even someone who doesn't have kids doesn't have the money to go to a college. Right now in my area there are no community colleges just universities and a couple of trade schools that cost way more than they should cuz they offer the degree in one year but financial aid only covers one year worth of the classes where as the school is charging for the time it would take if it was at the normal time frame for the class (like making a 4 year class load into 2 years and charging the same as the 4 year). Sure you are done faster but the help isn't there for all that it could be.

Also loans are bad options for some people who already know that they suck at paying stuff back and don't want to start a new educated life with a huge payment to make within 6 months of leaving school.

So to answer your question, some people are lazy but some the options are just too much or not even there to accommodate their situation.

I know that there are many reasons people don't go to college but if the only reason is money and they do not

Cheap or not, if you don't have money, you don't have money. And not all people can be granted with funds and stuff. What about the not so smart people who doesn't have money? they can't get scholarship and things?

Ok, my husband and I really need to cut back on our monthly spending and i need your help?

monthly bills

groceries-260

gas 100(he only fills up-i never go anywhere)

internet 35

cell phone 85

credit card min payments-150

auto insurance 140

vehicle payment 560

home 735

studnet loans 200

Dish 30

So, as you can see we are cancelling our dish, cell phones, and internet.

I am wanting to cut back on groceries. there are 2 of us and a baby(formula only)

can someone give me ideas on what else to cut back on and what I can buy at the grocery store for cheap that will last 2 weeks?

Ok, my husband and I really need to cut back on our monthly spending and i need your help?

I would try to cut back on the groceries by using coupons, store brands and look for sales. Some of the stuff you have is tough to lower, but you can try by attempting to get a lower cell phone plan. You could get rid of the internet and TV and just get a Netflix for $15 a month. Take everything extra that you have and pay off your credit cards. Don't keep using them or you will never get ahead. When you have extra money at the end of the month, pay your CC, don't just blow it. Build a budget sheet so you know how much money you have at the beginning of the month and only spend what you have to. Cut down on dining out and misc spending.

Ok, my husband and I really need to cut back on our monthly spending and i need your help?

Look for good deals at stores, buy store brands, not brand names, cut back on driving-only necessary trips, cut up your credit cards-just pay them off, put the money saved towards paying off and eliminating something like the student loans.

Ok, my husband and I really need to cut back on our monthly spending and i need your help?

Breast feeding will cut out the formula.

Ok, my husband and I really need to cut back on our monthly spending and i need your help?

Trade in your car(s) for cheaper ones. It is better to drive old cars and save on car payments.

Ok, my husband and I really need to cut back on our monthly spending and i need your help?

A car payment of 560 means you have either multiple cars or a really nice car. You might think about selling it and buying something more economical or if multiple cars sell one since only one of you goes anywhere. Groceries, try to buy the less expensive %26quot;generic%26quot; type goods, shope more at Wal-mart or big box stores instead of local mom and pops if possible since it is generally cheaper. Everything else seems to be ok.

Pay more on your CC to get those payments down before you save for anything!!!

Ok, my husband and I really need to cut back on our monthly spending and i need your help?

You should also consider generating additional income. It may mean that one of you will need to work evenings or weekends. Also, look around for a better paying job.

Ok, my husband and I really need to cut back on our monthly spending and i need your help?

Dont know what state your living, but If you are struggling financially, you may want to look at Wic, this will cover your babys needs for milk and formula.

You may have to fudge a little.

Ok, my husband and I really need to cut back on our monthly spending and i need your help?

Sorry, but you don't need help from any one else to untangle your financial mess. When one spends more than they can afford then the non-essentials must go.. Reduce vehicle payments by getting into a cheaper automobile, extend the mortgage payment to the maximum allowable time if not already there; see if student loans can be reduced by half, temporarily. Also you try to find a part time job to supplement income and husband can also work a second job until the financial crunch is gone.

Ok, my husband and I really need to cut back on our monthly spending and i need your help?

check out the book %26quot;pay it down%26quot; it has loads of ideas to cut out debt. Your library may have a copy.

Some ideas for now...

call your credit card companies and see about getting lower interest rates

shop around for cheaper insurance rates

Ok, my husband and I really need to cut back on our monthly spending and i need your help?

well look for coupons.. and bu whats on sale..ive been doing and been keeping my limit low..

can u keep your cell phones and removed features that cost extra.. i jus did that :) ... if u get rid of internet, get a wireless router.. im able to pick up asignal so i dont pay for it.. i cut cable over a year .. im always working anyway.. so that saves $50+ a plus.. and i get basic channels. but who cares.. i watch a few shows and the news..

and car payment that high??? anyway to downsize?

Ok, my husband and I really need to cut back on our monthly spending and i need your help?

I buy bulk bags of chicken

noodles (for mac %26amp; cheese, or w/ spaghetti sauce, etc.)

bread

cheese (grilled cheese)

peanut butter (pb %26amp;j's)

ramen noodles

canned vegetables (cheaper than fresh but rinse them to get rid of the salt and extra stuff that comes in the liquid)

eggs (keep you full for longer)

oatmeal

Or make large batches of soups that you can eat for several meals

You want to look for high protein foods that will keep you full for longer, that way you eat less, therefore buying less groceries.

Ok, my husband and I really need to cut back on our monthly spending and i need your help?

Before you go grocery shopping besure to look at the ads for the stores around you for the best buys. Also, use coupons! For your cellphone, maybe try a cheaper plan.

Ok, my husband and I really need to cut back on our monthly spending and i need your help?

Lemme see.

For the auto insurance part, you should contact a local agent who sees the local rates every day and knows the companies that sell insurance there. A local agent would be happy to help you through this and try to get you a better policy at a better price. Hey it can't hurt.

To connect with a local agent, fill out the quote form located at http://www.myinsurancequotes.net. A local agent will contact you and help you get started.

Anyone read "Confessions of an Economic Hitman" - it make the US look really bad - I wonde

Basically the author claims that the US gives high interest loans to developing countries for industrial projects such as dams and power plants, with all work going to US contractors, based upon inflated economic ofrecasts, and then when the economic benefits fall short of the estimates, the countries are forced to pay the US with cheap oil, military bases and UN votes. Basically economic blackmail. Economic hitmen are selected by the CIA but work for NGO's to shiled the government.

Anyone read %26quot;Confessions of an Economic Hitman%26quot; - it make the US look really bad - I wonder if it is all true.

The more you know... the worse the U.S. looks

Anyone read %26quot;Confessions of an Economic Hitman%26quot; - it make the US look really bad - I wonder if it is all true.

Welcome to international diplomacy. The US isn't the only one to do it, and these poor countries would totally do it to us if they had the power.

Is an MFA in Jewelry and Metals worth the cost?

From what I can tell, an undergrad degree in studio art is worthless unless you get a masters. With a masters, I could teach Jewelry and Metals at a college level, and make my own work. Its very dependent on what school I go to though i.e. I have to get into one of the top five jewelry programs in the nation to get good job placement. Im wondering if the loans I will have to take out will be worth getting a job as a professor? These schools aren't cheap.

Is an MFA in Jewelry and Metals worth the cost?

To be a professor at a University, wouldn't you have to have a PhD? You could teach at a Community College with a masters, but if every other faculty position requires a PhD, I would assume this would be true for Art as well...but I could be wrong.

In any event...I think you would need to talk to some jewelers - see what types of education they have. FInd out what types of jobs you could do with your degree choices beyond being a Professor because that is a hard field to find a job in some times. I guess I am saying - have a back up plan for your degree, and I think you will be fine getting a Masters.

Also, look for job openings for Metal and Jewelry teachers and see what their pay scale is...then you will be able to figure out if the cost of a masters program is right for you.

Is an MFA in Jewelry and Metals worth the cost?

If you plan to be a professor, then it would be worth the cost getting your masters. Then again, anything you love should be worth the cost.

In response to Graciela's answer, in the arts the highest degree is a master's. The only exception to this is art history, which the highest degree is a PhD.

Single man most optimal real estate options?

What is the most optimal real estate options for a single man? I am a 27 years old single man and plan to be single all my life. I dont have any savings and I dont believe in loans. I dont want to buy big houses because they are more for families. My dream house would be a mountain top cabin or log cabin in the woods, because they can be small, cheap and in secluded area - just what I need. And from what I researched on the net, you can build your own log cabin for 10-20K. I am not sure I want to build it, since I can buy a small cabin for 100K, I think. If I save 10K per year, I can buy it in 10 years. I can live in a car or a mobile home, but I earn about 5K per month, so I dont really want to do this, I rather rent and save for the next 10 years, or maybe I'll build one in 2 years with 20K saved money. What can you advise me?

Single man most optimal real estate options?

I'd be willing to bet that if you buy the property now, even with a loam..the tax deduction on the interest and taxes will cover that %26quot;cost%26quot; and you will be in the cabin sooner rather than later ...you could buy tax mate, or some other software package and figure it out in a few hours and probably 50 bucks for the program..Even though I always am dating someone, I am aware there is a good chance i am going to be alone in my retirement years, so i have a couple of small properties in Southern Ca I will probably hold on to forever even though the rents are not making me more than a CD although the property has increased in value 3 X's since the original purchase---which is something you should be considering....Take care and good luck....

Single man most optimal real estate options?

Another good option is a good sized boat like a small yacht. You can live in incredibly locations and move your home if you like. Some boats are incredible and you can have sol or power and desalinization equipment so you are self efficient. If I was single for life this would be my move.

Single man most optimal real estate options?

Better to purchase a Residential Flat opposite to a reputed superspeciality Hospital.

Single man most optimal real estate options?

Damn, I want your job if you pull in 5K a month. What do you do for a living? You could easily rent a small apartment for a couple months, save for a down payment and go to a mortgage lender. With your financial income your loan won't be huge and you could pay it off in almost record time. All it does is enhance your credit score so why the dread having a loan? Real estate is a business and you are the boss when it comes to the money. Especially since you have so much of it in your possession. Go talk to a mortgage specialist at a bank, ask questions and get some insight. They will talk to you and answer your questions, even if you don't decide to use their services. Their expertise is giving you the proper advice.

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

They work for cheap wages, hurting our wage potential

Most of their kids are gang members, increaseing crime

They are the majority population in many of our Texas citys

Why in the Texas revolution did we go to war with them, because now we are just giving it all back to them

All foreiners come over here and it is easier for them to get small business loans than it is for real Americans.

Dallas public TV has more spanish stations than English station, radio is the same way

They want spanish to be taught as a primary language in our schools

And the list continues.

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

A wall should be built, the Border Patrol should be tripled and backed up by the U.S.Government.

We should uphold the laws on the books:

No more benefits w/o U.S. citizenship

Fining those employing illegal immigrants

Fining landlords that rent to illegals

No educating their children

Deport them and get in line for legal citizenship

No drivers licenses for illegals. If they are caught driving deport them.

If they commit a felony imprison them and deport them for all misdemeanors.

This got out of control by giving them a free pass for way too long.

We must take our Country back in spite of the greedy politicians before we have our own civil war.

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

To keep illegal immigrants out, not just Mexicans. Yes. And deny all services except emergency health care prior to deportation, and get rid of automatic birthright citizenship.

Our schools are failing and our children are not less important than theirs.

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

the answer is simple.. YES.. we need to secure our borders, enforce the laws of this country, put harsh penalties on those who hire illegals, and take the incentive out to be here legally..

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

Build a 50' wall and destroy all ladders that are more than 30' tall.

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

Techically, we already have, but like 2 feet. We should hire a private company to do it and itll be done. They need to get in america the right way, speak english and become a citizen. I strongly think we should allow border patrol to fire at will and i strongly think we should build a fence!!! Good news, we have started it but its more of a joke than anything.

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

It works in San Diego! That's the reason that Mexico was so upset about the fence. They LIED when they said it won't work. They just don't want it to be hard for their citizens to invade our country!

They are suppose to be building one now but at the rate they are going is ridiculous! FIX THE BORDER BEFORE TALKING ABOUT OTHER ISSUES. ENFORCE OUR CURRENT LAWS!

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

Build away..........they'll just tunnel under it.

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

israel built a nice wall. we should copy that one.

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

Yep and use a slick solid metal, somethin that will be burning hot from the natural sun when a belly rubs against it. I mean how many illegals could afford a Nascar fire suit??? Then, should an illegal scale the fence, well, easily identified when they show up at an ER for treatment.

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

DMZ on the N./S. Korea border would work.

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

Damn right we should, for the reasons you listed and many more. I've almost reached the level where there are no more ways to make the point. In order to save our way of life, it must be done. This includes our educational system, healthcare, local police, prisons, transportation, and environmental pollution. Everyone talks about the obvious ones like education and healthcare, but when you have a major overcrowding problem there is a strain on the roads and the environment. Think about LA roads, do you think the traffic jams would be as bad if all the illegals were gone?

I will not live in a third world country while Ted Kennedy and Nancy Pelosi stay rich and get more powerful. I will fight to the very end, and if common sense is overwhelmed by political correctness, I'm going to Australia.

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

We could use the Border Area to train our Military, turn it

into a Training zone for our Tanks, and low level bombing range. That way anyone crossing into the Area, would be violating a Military Base.

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

So what? It's a new culture enriching America even more. And no, not most of their kids are gang members. I don't know where you got that statistic from.

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

I think this whole debate is ignorant.. I mean all of america is based on immigration.. if u didn't immigrate there in the first place to get away from your own problems u'd be fked over.... So getting mad at hard working immigrants is just going against old american values.. and being bitchy..

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

No we shouldn't. I would like to see proof of everything you say, an opinion does not equal facts.

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

Still loving your GWB Jr? He did all that for you, and Texas when he was Governor of the State. Now that he's president, he can sign over ones whole real estate, and at your expense. Lovely f*cking fellow isn't he?

I wish people would get their own facts straight about immigrants. And Illegal immigrants. How the h*ll do they think the last bunch of illegals became legal citizens? This exact same way!! The point is come legally and NO PROBLEM!!

Note to Wayne G. - The difference between accepting ONLY 7,000 refugees and millions of illegals is not just the numbers.

Are you aware that those refugees are being screened over in Iraq before they even leave the country to come here. The millions already here haven't even bothered to before then or when they arrived.

wickedlooks - There'll be no wall for Canada. The wall regarding the southern border is about the corrupt government of Mexico. Show me where that is in Canada.

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

We can try to keep out the workers while we open the doors

to thousands of Iraqi refugees. Ever here of a Mexican

suicide bomber? What happened to peoples ability to

consider all the facts?

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

We need a wall to keep illegals out. Those that wnat to come in and can pass a background check should be welcome.

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

F*U puto

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

Hello,First I'd like to address the wall.Awesome, yes let's build that wall.Do you realize the length it would have to be?But other than that it's a great idea.It would keep out 12 million Mexicans. Now how about Canada?Where's our wall there?Has it been started yet?How about port security and airport security? So yes we need a wall between Canada too and more port and airport security to keep out the other 21 million illegals we have.Great we can look like communist China in about 5 years if we really apply ourselves. You do know about The Great Wall of China right? And as far as Spanish becoming the primary language in schools.Do you honestly believe that? Then why is it a requirement for foreigners to learn English?I don't ever see our language changing and neither do you. It's just something to rile people up over.

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

No it won't keep anyone out You need to call your congressman and ask for the following laws. One babies born of illegals in the U.S. are not U.S. citizens (anchor babies). Two any job a legal U.S. citizen finds being done by an illegal can demand the job be given to him and he is then payed at Union scale or at the rate the highest paid worker on that job is being paid. Call or write your congress man now and demand these things.

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

There should be an electric fence built from the Pacific Ocean to Texas!!!

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

I live in Texas as well and I agree with you. We have more spanish radio and Tv stations than anything here. Also dont forget, the average job here sates MUST BE BILIINGUAL. Thats really frustrating. We as Amercians are unemplyoed and want to find work but cant. I have nothing against no one. My family came to this country the right way. We had to pay our dues. With that said, yes we should build wall, and make stricter laws so that we can deal with the amount of illegal immigrants that come to this overcrowed country everday.

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

It should work as well as the Maginot Line did.

France built the Maginot Line to keep out Germans - but they decided to go around the end, instead.

Or is someone proposing to fence the entire Gulf Coast and California coastline as well?

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

I believe we need to demand that our government increases border patrol, coast patrol and a fence that works. I'll just tell you my position. I'm for human rights and humanity well-being comes first to me. To hate people is wrong and that's the only thing I don't like about how some people are handling this illegal immigration issue.

I am tired to hear/read how Mexicans are to blame for the whole illegal situation, because I see that we also have illegals from most of Latin America, including Asia and Europe . There are boat loads that come here and Mexico filled with people trying to come here.

I don't think you are highly educated, therefore I think you should get better informed before talking.

If you understand Capitalism, you'll understand why they can have Television Stations with different languages and so on. I want proof that it's easier for illegals to get small businesses loans, because I think you are confused.

Bottom line, if you want to see this problem solved, write to your congress and senators and ask them to push for enforcement and protection to our borders and ask them to stop giving the wealthy entrepreneurs the chance to keep getting rich by profiting from hiring illegals. Wake up people, that's where this whole problem comes from.

It's easy, no demand no supply....

By spreading frustration and hate you're not going to help alot, start doing something about it, but do it the right way...

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

Yes, a soveriegn nation must have strong borders!

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

I believe walls and current senate immigration bill are good start to tackle the immigration problem. And we also need a national i.d. card and employee verification system. Last week i received a medical bill to my home address, someone used emergency mdeical service without paying it. If national i.d. system does exist, medical personnels can ask for the person's i.d. before they provide the medical care. So nobody can drain the finanicial health of hospital.

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

We are building a wall! I never thought I'd hear a Texan talk about defeat by illegals. The Texans I know are doing everything they can to halt illegals. Squeaky wheels get oiled so get busy.

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

Yea if we want to look like the Nazis

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

You are wrong, wrong, wrong! Most Mexicans are not gang members, and many are productive members of the American economy. You are just racist, it shows. You're just singling out Mexicans, and not illegals in general.

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

Keep the illegals out for sure. Send back the ones already here. Jail employers of illegals so we as Americans can earn a honest living in our own country. If we built a wall to keep the Mexicans out then how would we send the illegals we've got back? (just a touch of humor on the wall bit)

BEING IN TWENTIES - SOMETHING

It is when you stop going along with the crowd and start realizing that there are many things about yourself that you didn't know and may not like. You start feeling insecure and wonder where you will be in a year or two, but then get scared because you barely know where you are now.

You start realizing that people are selfish and that, maybe, those friends that you thought you were so close to aren't exactly the greatest people you have ever met, and the people you have lost touch with are some of the most important ones. What you don't recognize is that they are realizing that too, and aren't really cold, catty, mean or insincere, but that they are as confused as you.

You look at your job... and it is not even close to what you thought you would be doing, or maybe you are looking for a job and realizing that you are going to have to start at the bottom and that scares you.

Your opinions have gotten stronger. You see what others are doing and find yourself judging more than usual because suddenly you realize that you have certain boundaries in your life and are constantly adding things to your list of what is acceptable and what isn't. One minute, you are insecure and then the next, secure.

You laugh and cry with the greatest force of your life. You feel alone and scared and confused. Suddenly, change is the enemy and you try and cling on to the past with dear life, but soon realize that the past is drifting further and further away, and there is nothing to do but stay where you are or move forward.

You get your heart broken and wonder how someone you loved could do such damage to you. Or you lie in bed and wonder why you can't meet anyone decent enough that you want to get to know better. Or maybe you love someone but love someone else too and cannot figure out why you're doing this because you know that you aren't a bad person. One night stands and random hook ups start to look cheap. Getting wasted and acting like an idiot starts to look pathetic. You go through the same emotions and questions over and over, and talk with your friends about the same topics because you cannot seem to make a decision. You worry about loans, money, the future and making a life for yourself... and while winning the race would be great, right now you'd just like to be a contender!

What you may not realize is that every one reading this relates to it. We are in our best of times and our worst of times, trying as hard as we can to figure this whole thing out. Send this to your twenty-something friends... maybe it will help someone feel like they aren't alone in their state of confusion...

What do I have to say to convince my hubby to buy a house?

I've been married for 8 years, no kids. We've rented apartments and townhouses in cheap neighborhoods and I'm tired of it. I want a place that I can decorate with colors and furniture and improve on without the landlord's rules.

I've done the research thats shows in 2 years it'll cost us the same to rent vs. buy. But my hubby says that I'm being materialistic because I want to own my own place. He says that I should be content with what I have. He doesn't see owning as an asset, rather, he sees it as only being a debt to the bank. We are in debt (including vehicle loans) for about $30,000. we make well over $70,000 a year, and we're very capable of paying our bills, but he doesn't want a mortgage.

Am I missing something? I don't think it's wrong/materialistic to want to own. What do I have to do to get him to see the value of owning a home?

What do I have to say to convince my hubby to buy a house?

As a Realtor, I deal with this every day.

One Answerer was right: TAX BREAK. But she didn't go far enough. Once you start itemizing so you can claim ALL of your mortgage interest as a deduction (which is most of your house payment), you have opened the door to an amazing menu of deductions that weren't worth the effort before. Go through a Schedule A (get it at irs.gov) and check out all the deductions available.

Also, your house will appreciate in value, unlike any other investments you may have. It represents the largest part of most Americans' total wealth -- and for a reason. You can use the equity in your home to buy other things, or sit quietly on it and have a nest egg. There is no other form of investment that is as secure in the long run as land. There is only so much, you know.

Decorating and such is superficial. You need to understand how owning real estate can make or beak you, financially. Do the research and present it to him.

%26quot;It's just a fact, Ma'am.%26quot;

What do I have to say to convince my hubby to buy a house?

I hear what your husband is saying. However, since most of the debt (payment) is deductible, the entity paying the bill is the federal government, in the form of you paying reduced taxes.

Also, you DO own the house. You have the same benefits as if you had no mortgage. Report It

What do I have to say to convince my hubby to buy a house?

How about, %26quot;Honey, I want to buy a house, I want you to buy it with me, but if you won't, you will have to find another place to live because I won't stay here.%26quot;

What do I have to say to convince my hubby to buy a house?

One thing you can do is prove to your husband that a mortgage won't be an additional financial burden. This would involve paying off your debt first. It may take 15-30 years to pay off your home, but your home is appreciating in value that entire time. While I wouldn't buy a home in hopes of having a huge sum of money to retire on, it's worth putting your money into some thing that will appreciate rather than letting your landlord's investment appreciate.

What do I have to say to convince my hubby to buy a house?

%26quot;tax break%26quot;

What do I have to say to convince my hubby to buy a house?

Tell him to consider it an investment. You can buy a house, fix it up a little, and sell for more than you paid. What kind of return have you got by renting?

What do I have to say to convince my hubby to buy a house?

Paying rent is money out the window, with a house at least in 25 years you will own a huge asset, and that 25 years sounds far away but it will happen. With population rising house prices in the long run will appreciate also. In some places unless you own a house you can be priced right out of the rental maket. If logic does not work tell him having a garage would be a wonderful place to keep his motorcycle.

What do I have to say to convince my hubby to buy a house?

Pay off the debit first since the market in crashing. Then save for a down payment..

http://www.breakingbubble.com/

And ask him what he wants, and listen.

What do I have to say to convince my hubby to buy a house?

Tell him you are going house hunting with or without him, but you prefer him to be there when you select your first home.

You may also tell him that he can still call it rent if he so desire, you have no problem with that.

Before you start looking for a place to call home, please check with your nearest mortgage broker to see if you are indeed qualified to purchase a home.

He will need to complete a loan application for the both of you. i am gonna give you a couple of things you are gonna need to complete the application, there will be others but this will get you started.

#1 Two years of federal income tax with W-2 forms for each of you.

#2 One month of pay stubs from both of your jobs.

#3 6 months of bank statements from your banks you currently use as well as statements from your 401K plan for both of you.

Now once he has this information he will be able to tell you how much house you are qualified to purchase as well as the approximate interest rate and loan programs you are qualified for.

Once this is done he will issue you a PRE-APPROVAL letter so you may now go look for your dream house.

You will complete the sales contract and other things necessary that the mortgage broker and real estate agent will guide you through.

Tell him it will not hurt and there will be a surprise the first night you are in your new home.

I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck

%26quot;FIGHT ON%26quot;

What do I have to say to convince my hubby to buy a house?

If the guy likes apartments that much maybe he should live in a condo. That way it carries much like rent but you own it. After living there for a couple of years, then take the equity and use it to get a house that will carry like what you were paying in the condo.

The biggest problem with just paying rent is that it is like throwing your money in the garbage. Sure you get a roof over your head and whatever else you can use to justify renting over owning, however, at the end of the day.. or maybe 8 years, you have nothing. If you were paying $1,000 per month on a mortgage compared to the same on rent then you would have paid $72,000 and built equity in a property. Instead, you have paid $72,000 and you have nothing to show for it.

What do I have to say to convince my hubby to buy a house?

Why don't you present a plan to him. Show him that in the long run it will save you money. Be sure to factor in the tax benefits of owning a home and the equity that you will build. Paint a picture of how nice it will be to have a home and not have to worry about a landlord. Tell him its a buyer's market right now. Also, its not materialistic at all. Most families have a home in America. You should meet with a realtor and look at homes. Find one and tell him what it would cost each month so he has an idea of what he would get. Good luck.

What's a a good amount of $ for your best friends b-day/graduation gift?

My best friend of 12 years is having a birthday this weekend, and also graduating from college. He's asked for money to pay of fhis loans, etc. We usually don't exchange expensive gifts, for my birthday last year I mostly got inexpensive gag gifts from him. I'm a broke college student myself, you think $25 is enough? I don't wanna look cheap, I make more money than he does but I also have a lot more expenses...

What's a a good amount of $ for your best friends b-day/graduation gift?

$20 is reasonable and a nice card. It really is the thought that counts. Plus $20 to you is like $2,000 to his rich uncle.

What's a a good amount of $ for your best friends b-day/graduation gift?

yeah

What's a a good amount of $ for your best friends b-day/graduation gift?

it's not how much you spend it's the thought behind the gift .. a gift should never be money among friends take the time to find a gift that will mean something

What's a a good amount of $ for your best friends b-day/graduation gift?

I think that $50.00 would be enough

What's a a good amount of $ for your best friends b-day/graduation gift?

give what you can afford to comfortably.a gift from the heart means more.your friend knows you are not rich but being a friend is more than about money .your presence and happy wishes mean more.$ 25 and a nice thoughtful card is a great gift! go and have a great time this means far more than money.also other people will be giving him gifts so it all adds up.good luck.

What's a a good amount of $ for your best friends b-day/graduation gift?

Well i don't know how much you should give him, but maybe you should make him a collage of you two and fun times you guys had, and then maybe put in $25 dollars and a card saying that he means so much to you for being a good friend all those years.

What's a a good amount of $ for your best friends b-day/graduation gift?

25 is not bad.....get creative! ebay, craigslist, ten thousand villages etc have unique gift items for around 25-30 bucks.

also - how about getting together with a bunch of his family %26amp; friends to put money together and give him something expensive/relevant rather than tons of silly gifts.

What's a a good amount of $ for your best friends b-day/graduation gift?

$25 dollars is good. its the thought that counts!

What's a a good amount of $ for your best friends b-day/graduation gift?

graduation i would have suggested $200

however if ur broke at least $50

(graduation is kinda important)
