What stylish basic pieces of clothes do you recommend?

I am a stylish young (22 year old) woman who works in the business world. I am outfitted with a bachelors degree and work in a position that earns just under 30,000$ a year. Paying off my student loans has made me broke and I have little money to work with.

My closet is in desperate need of a professional makeover! I would really love some suggestions on some absolutely essential pieces to have in my closet and different ideas about what I can pair these clothes with. Also, if you have cheap stores online or offline you recommend I'd appreciate it! I need a lot of help to look professional for my job.

I think there are seven essentials for your wardrobe:

The little black dress, (cliche, i know), but it looks good on everyone.

Pair of black pumps

Flirty Camisole

Pair of Classic Black Pants

3-piece suit (Jacket, Skirt Pants)

Pair of Jeans that fit well, classic with dark, clean wash

White collared shirt

You can mix and match all of these items! Try a cute cami matched with a business suit, jeans or black pants. Black pumps go with everyting and are sexy, but not too for the office. some great sites are Forever21, Topshop, shopbop, activeendeavors, and you can get great discounts on designer itmes at Bluefly. I suggest splurging on items that will last forever, fit well, and make you feel good. Hope this helps!

You know, I think a %26quot;curvy%26quot; jacket or two is essential. I actually found a GREAT one at Target for $40. It's chocolate brown and trimmed in leather.

I would suggest some essentials in blask as black goes with anything:black turtleneck, pencil skirt, perhaps some black ballet flats as well because they are stylish, work appropriate and comfy!

I would also buy three fitted blazers: One in a black tone, one in a brown tone, and one in any other color that flatters your complexion and your wardrobe.

A key factor in playing off this professional look in accessories: A few pairs of gold and silver earrings, look for beaded and chain linked necklaces that overlap and drape at the neck!, and a couple of bracelets! Hope I helped! I am also a 22year old woman just entering the working field!
