How can we bottle hot water (95 degrees centigrade) and keep that temperature for atleast two weeks,

I am a loans broker. An organisation approached me recently that wants to set up plants to make hot (or cold) bottled water in conflict zones, drought areas, and other distrubed areas in sub saharan africa. They have a technology that is a machine that converts air to water (hot or cold). We want some advise on how best to cheaply bottle hot water so that it will stay at that hot temperature for a few weeks. If anybody can help, you will be doing alot of needy people a big favour. If we can supply bottled 2 litre hot water together with basics such as rice, etc, the affected people can then easily cook, without having to resort to deforestation and it will greatly help in providing hot meals rather than just cold rations, a big improvement in quality of life. Thus any advise on how to bottle hot water (or even cold water but not using plastic bottles) will be very much appreciated. We need cheap options because this is for charityable work. Thankyou.

Don`t quite understand your question, but will still try to offer a solution. Depends on if you are trying to keep the water hot until it is bottled, or if you are trying to keep it hot after it is bottled.

The best way to keep water hot is in a storage tank. Coil some heat resistant tubing on top of some black sheeting in an open area. Situate the tank at a spot downhill from the tubing. Connect one end of your tubing to your machine (where the hot water comes out) and the other end to the top of the tank so the water will gravity feed into the tank. Paint the tank black. The black tank will absorb solar energy to stay hot. Ideally the tank should be short with a large diameter. This is so the tank will absorb more energy.

To keep water bottles hot build a rack above the ground to hold the bottles and place black plastic sheeting or flat metal painted black under it. The water temperature can be adjusted by raising or lowering the the rack closer or father away from the ground. It would be best if the sheeting was surrounded by a box with aluminum foil coating. Tilt the sides of the box so that the reflection shines on the bottles.

that got me thinking, the only thing that came out off my brain is some sort of heat transfer from the engine of the vehicles that do the distribution.

Another thought,I did see a solar heater once that boiled water quickly,it was in the shape of a parabola and the solar radiation was concentrated to central point.

good luck
